Please help us as we journey to new beginnings for our new
Early Education Learning Center
Gregg House has observed the dire need for a new space for our Preschool and Infant Toddler programs. The current buildings that house our programs are in disrepair. The price tag to safely maintain them is becoming cost-prohibitive. Both programs withhold extensive waitlists in regards to not having the capacity to meet the growing needs of the programs. By obtaining the property at 535 Western Avenue in Lynn we will now have the opportunity to expand, upgrade to a state of the art facility and meet the following goals:
Transform to a model childcare center for the North Shore that serves the needs of Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers as well as Kindergarten children as well
Maximize flexibility of age groupings to expand children’s development
Provide appropriate safety and security for children, families and staff
Create spaces that are healthy, have natural sun light, are welcoming, therapeutic and biophilic
Give all ages access and views of nature and outdoor activities
Optimize the sustainability of the building to allow it to tread lightly on the environment and create a teaching tool for our children and staff
This state-of-the-art Early Learning Center will provide care for over 300 infants, toddlers, preschool and kindergarten children. The Center will employ over 65 educators and aides, two program directors, a director of Social Services, on-site social workers, a family advocate, health and wellness staff, a certified cook, maintenance and janitorial staff.
The center will have 27 curriculum-based classrooms, a gross-motor room, a discovery center, a S.T.E.A.M room, and age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds for each age level. The program will include two student support areas as well as a parent and therapeutic meeting room, health and wellness office and a free family pantry. The center will have advanced security settings; including keyed lock doors and cameras throughout.
With your help we are positive this dream will soon become a reality for the families and children we serve. Please help 535 Western Avenue become a new home for our children to learn and thrive for generations to come.
