Academic Achievement

Children “learn” at different levels and rates throughout their lives. Some may excel in subjects and at the same time struggle with others.

Our philosophy is that children learn best by doing.

“Hands on” activities, manipulating and exploring materials, lead to a better understanding of subject matter.

Making connections and having an integrated approach to subject matter is key for children to truly understand how language, math, science, etc., all connect in real life.

Our staff has been trained in the use of the Department of Education’s curriculum frameworks for each “subject.”

The frameworks clearly outline what a child should know in each grade level for each subject.

We have purchased materials, supplies, and equipment for each of our “learning units,” which coincides with the curriculum frameworks.
